A heartfelt thank you
Publishing the Wishes book has been a three year journey. What was the delay you ask?
Firstly the confidence - what if it doesn't sell? What if it's a terrible idea? What if I waste money my family doesn't have? The truth was, I just didn't believe in myself.
Luckily, my teenage son had other ideas. He thought my idea was brilliant. He could see the importance of the book, and he wasn't afraid to speak his mind and give me a push in the right direction. So insistant was he, that he actually became my angel investor - giving me the initial funds required to self-publish - from his own earnings! I must add that he did negotiate a good interest rate on his angel investment though!!
Together we have published the book, created the website, and recorded some videos for marketing, but the most fun we've had was being interviewed by LakeFM which you can watch here:

So this blog is simply to say thank you, to my son, for giving me the encouragement I was lacking to do this myself. I'm so proud of you for so many reasons, but especially your maturity in talking about the subject of death which is so often avoided by people far older than you. Let's continue sharing our story together, and encouraging others to have death positive conversations.
Love Mum xx
